You’re never too old or too young to throw an unforgettable party. In the modern age, we are all working harder than ever before. So why not make your next party a fun and memorable special occasion to share quality time with family, friends and the people you love? We’ve put together a fabulous bag of tricks so that your next party is indeed an unforgettable one.
1.Type of event
Remember the old saying, ‘failing to plan is planning to fail’? Well, that phrase is a saying for a reason! Before you delve into the nitty gritty details of your event, it’s important to consider what category of event you’re planning. Is it an 18th, a 21st or a 50th? Is it a christening, a simple get together or a celebration of a huge milestone? Are you going to have a theme? What season will it be? Considering all these elements will help you formulate an effective event plan from the very beginning.
Now that you know what type of event you’re wanting to host, consider what size venue you need. What time of day are you going to be throwing your party? Do you want an outdoor or indoor space? Will you need speakers or a music system? Will you need tables and chairs for seating or eating? Jot down all of these details so you can have a record of all your party details.
It’s important to consider who you want to invite early on in the piece, so that you can have an accurate idea of the size of your event. Send out your invites early so people can start saving the date. For larger events where there may be alcohol present, consider hiring a security guard, just in case things get out of hand.
4.Food and drinks
The rule here is, if you’re going to be providing alcohol, you must also provide food and non-alcoholic drinks, including water. 6.Games and activities
If you’re having a 21st or a wedding, there are most likely going to be speeches and other presentations you’ll need to account for. Plan for these by devising a run sheet for your event.
