5 exciting possibilities about the future of home security
21 September 2017
Nowadays, technology has become truly cutting edge to include a wide plethora of gadgets that happen to control every single aspect of your home security as a whole. That is a fact, whether you happen to be on the lookout for a security system in Adelaide or anywhere else.
Be it the case of motion-triggered cameras or even certain pet-immune sensors and smartphone related control systems, there are no dearth of options out there. At the end of the day, it is safe to say that in the future, the overall possibilities are truly endless in every sense of the word. No two ways about that, really. So on that very note, let’s take a good look at some of the potentially exciting future possibilities of home security:-
Facial recognition software: As far as getting a camera with built-in face recognition software is concerned, it’s purpose is not only to take footage of the thief. It can even take the process several steps further by cross referencing that face with Google Plus and Facebook profiles. That way, one can easily identify the culprit in next to no time.
A door screening process: Let’s face it - if everyone who entered your home had to provide some proper form of identification, a great many thefts would be prevented. This can be done either through the process of retina scans or fingerprints. Since the technology already exists, the only thing left to do is to implement it into home security systems on the whole.
Motion sensors: Now in this regard, if you own a pet, you’re in luck. This is because, nowadays there are already pet-immune motion sensors on the market that are able to tell the difference between an intruder and your pet.
At this rate, just think of how awesome it would be if your motion sensors could not only tell apart your pet from an intruder, but also individual members of your family. Sure that may sound a tad too far-fetched as of now, but who knows in the next decade?
A defense robot: Now this may sound a bit too far-fetched, but then again, with regard to the future possibilities of any aspect, we need to be thinking as big as possible. Just think how amazing it would be to employ an armed robot at your door.
High-tech trigger technology: Through your smartphone, you could also control many different aspects of a security system. For instance, you can get down to programming multiple cameras to automatically take pictures whenever the slightest motion is detected. You can even program them to automatically start a video as well.
At the rate things are going, in the future, surely one can eventually expect security systems to be 100% burglar-proof with zero false alarms. After all, we live in an age where technology is constantly in a state of upgrade and improvement on a monthly basis.
Hence, you can be sure that burglars will end up thinking several times before even considering robbing a house that has a sophisticated state-of-the-art home security system. Not to say that this advance in technology will completely prevent any sort of dangerous robberies, but still. You can be sure of the fact that it will act as a good enough deterrent. Surely it isn’t too much of a stretch to assume that within the next decade or so, security systems will most certainly have all of the above features in place.
