We've just completed our 2010 \"Learn, Lead and Succeed\" program and there have been just under 1000 women nationally, including in regional Australia, attend the workshops.

On the regional Australia note: the Commonwealth governments RIRDC Rural Women's Awards have opened for nominations and this year we are involved as a sponsor. In fact we'll be promoting the awards in our regional branches so be on the look out if you're interested in nominating. I've met some of the past winners and have been blown away by their depth and tenacity. They are inspiring and often working with a tiny amount of the infrastructure, networking communication and business opportunities we have in the city.

The Mary Reibey scholarships have been awarded for 2010 and I want to congratulate our two inaugural winners: Genevieve Smith, Director of Marketing, TechnologyOne, and from rural Australia, Vicki Tuck, Director of Llanver Pty Ltd. In choosing the winners I wanted to concentrate on women who would not normally get the opportunity to attend an AGSM Executive Program. Both our winners displayed how the course would help them make a difference in their industry, creating diversity and furthering the opportunities for women in general. They also spoke about taking their learning back to their communities and using it to further knowledge and skills at a local level.
