Outstanding Women Series with Vicki Pridmore CEO of BreastScreen Victoria The risk of a Victorian woman developing breast cancer in her lifetime is currently 1 in 9. It’s statistics like these that drive Vicki Pridmore and her team to ensure all Victorian women over age 50 have access to regular, potentially life-saving mammograms. Vicki is the CEO of BreastScreen Victoria, which offers free biennial breast screening to a target of 230,000 Victorian women and coordinates a state-wide network of reading assessment and screening services in public and private hospital and private radiology settings. With extensive experience in the human services sector, Vicki’s career spans secondary teaching, organisational psychology, counselling and project review. With a proven knack for driving change within organisations that need to evolve to stay relevant and operational, Vicki has spent the last decade in senior management roles within the public sector and has made an impressive mark on a number of government and not-for-profit agencies, most recently serving as CEO for the Cheltenham Regional Cemeteries Trust. From her early beginnings as a woodwork and metal craft teacher, Vicki has risen to senior executive level through a unique combination of hard work, resilience and business savvy.
