Have fun with paints & crayons, whilst exploring your creative side and releasing the pressures of your week. There is no right or wrong when it comes to art therapy - the focus in on expression and personal growth rather than aesthetics. Your instructor will take you through a series of group and individual exercises whilst giving you hints and tips on how to practice at home to extend the benefit of the workshop.
The main focus of the day will be on acquiring essential skills to help you express yourself through art whether it is to relax, learn new insights, or simply take time out for yourself and have some fun. The workshop will cover:
An introduction to art therapy and its modalities
Guided exploration techniques
Creative Journaling
Self-expression through movement
Take home exercises
This workshop is suitable for anyone (18+) who is interested in improving their well-being. Previous participants have reported enjoying this workshop to their surprise, and have continued to explore this way of self-expression at home.
No previous experience necessary and all materials for the day are included in the course cost.
